Feature Issue: Visual Function and Sports Performance
Submission window: July 1, 2020 to October 1, 2020

Optometry and Vision Science is a leading publisher of work on all aspects of vision. Sports vision has exploded in popularity recently, driven by intense interest in sports nationally and internationally including eSports. Sports vision research encompasses many areas of vision including visual perception, visuomotor coordination, and eye tracking, studies of which provide evidence-based support for sports vision training. The wide array of sports vision related issues has resulted in dispersion of sports vision related papers across many journals. This special feature issue will include invited reviews along with submissions through this call for papers. This issue provides an opportunity to bring together evidence from a variety of topic areas including clinical research studies to support sports vision therapies. This special issue will inform investigators, clinicians, sports vision training device developers, and patients on the current and future state of the sports vision field.
