Ph.D Student
University of California, San Diego

B.Sc. Brown University, 2018

Short Biography

Louise Stolz is a graduate student in the neurosciences program at the University of California San Diego. She received her B.Sc. in Neuroscience in 2018 from Brown University. While at Brown, she worked in the labs of Drs. David Badre and Wael Asaad. She then worked as a research assistant at the National Institute of Mental Health with Dr. Robert Innis for two years before beginning her PhD at UCSD in 2020. For her PhD, Louise is interested in researching personalized neuromodulation treatments for individuals with depression and PTSD. See Louise’s Neurotree here, her LinkedIn, and her twitter.

On the personal side, Louise is a dual French-American citizen and grew up in Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, and Geneva. In her free time, she likes to play soccer, beach volleyball, surf, or hike. For her long-term goals, she hopes to apply the skills she learns during her PhD to improve response rates and treatment options for difficult to treat mental health disorders.
