Eva Wiener
Clinical Research Coordinator, Interventional Psychiatry Program
University of California, San Diego

B.A. Colgate University, 2023

Short Biography

Eva is currently a research coordinator in the Interventional Psychiatry Program with plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She received a BA in Neuroscience from Colgate University with a minor in Creative Writing, then was awarded an Intramural Research Training Award from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) following graduation. She conducted postgraduate research in the Noninvasive Neuromodulation Unit within the NIMH for two years, optimizing brain stimulation techniques for treatment-resistant depression via fMRI-guided targeting and concurrent psychotherapy. She is also passionate about direct patient care and has worked as a crisis hotline volunteer, emergency medical technician, and peer counselor.

Moving forward, Eva is specifically interested in continuing to optimize neuroimage-guided targeting for transcranial magnetic stimulation to identify more disorder-specific treatment targets and improve efficacy across psychiatric diagnoses. Outside of work, she enjoys finding new hikes, reviewing restaurants, and going to rock concerts.
